March 2026 Updates

The following edits to the Sunken Ships database were made:

  • 1 record was edited
  • 6 record were moved to better locations

Thanks to a lead provided by reader Thomas (thank you!) I was able to place the following 34 ships on the map. These were all sunk in August 1944, either by Allied bombs or at the hands of the retreating Germans who sought to make the port of Marseille unusable.

There are now 368 convoys routes mapped.

October 2025 Updates

  • 1 record was moved to a better location

The following 58 convoy routes were added to the World War II Convoy Atlas:

  • SC-66 – SC-92, SC-96 – SC-107, SC-110-119, SC-122 – SC-128

The following 2 convoy routes were updated:

  • SC-120 & SC-121

There are now 177 convoys routes mapped.

July / August 2025 Updates

The following changes were made to the database in July & August:

  • 2 records was moved to a better location
  • 1 record was deleted
  • 20 records were edited

Updates have been light as I’ve been focusing on mapping convoy routes. I hope to create an interactive mapping application to display this content in the near future. Below are 92 mapped convoy routes. Most of these are from the HX convoy series in 1941 -1943.
